Processing linguistic variation:

The processing of linguistic variation is an interface domain involving
sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and cognitive neurosciences. Describing
how variable input is processed and acquired is the aim of this thematic
issue, with contributions that cover studies of linguistic variation from an
experimental and descriptive perspective. Effects of sociolinguistic factors
that a re controlled in an experiment and their relation to language
production, awareness, salience, and language ideologies are expected in
this thematic issue. Theoretical and methodological contributions are also
expected, particularly how to balance the control required in experimental
research with the observer's paradox from the sociolinguistics approach.

Papers may be written in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Guest Editors: Raquel Meister Ko. Freitag, Marije Soto and Ana Paula Jakubów
