Meeting Description:

The Institute for Linguistic Studies RAS announces the Second Conference on
Uralic, Altaic and Paleo-Asiatic languages, to take place in a hybrid more (at
the Institute for Linguistic Studies, St. Petersburg, and online) on November
21-23, 2022. The conference concerns all structural aspects of respective
languages. Topics include but are not limited to:

1) phonology, grammar and lexicon;
2) language contacts;
3) sociolinguistic and ethnolinguistic studies;
4) comparative and historical studies;
5) corpora studies.


Call for Papers:

The deadline for all abstracts is September 1, 2022 (cf. requirements below).
The conference may also include thematic workshops (proposals to be sent by
July 20, 2022, notification on accept / rejection before July 30, 2022.). The
topic of a workshop cannot be limited to the genetic group or family of
languages.

A workshop proposal should contain an annotation of the workshop and at least
8 annotations or abstracts of the talks. Workshop participants can submit an
abstract according to general requirements or a short annotation of the talk.
If the workshop is included in the conference program, the participants should
submit full abstracts before September 1, 2022, together with all other
abstracts. The abstract should not exceed 3600 characters (with spaces),
including examples, diagrams, and tables but excluding the list of references
and glosses.

The abstracts and workshop proposals should be sent as .doc, .docx or .rtf
files to langrus.spb at gmail.com.

The notification of the acceptance / rejection of abstracts will be sent to
the authors no later than October 1, 2022.
