Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Stanford University is seeking applicants for
a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level,
with a starting date of September 1, 2023. The position is open to all areas
of specialization in linguistics.  Applicants will be expected to teach
courses in linguistics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and to
maintain an active research program. We value candidates whose research
engages with multiple subfields of linguistics and applies methodologically
rigorous empirical work to significant theoretical questions.

The Linguistics Department, School of Humanities and Sciences, and Stanford
University value faculty who are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and
inclusion.  Candidates may optionally include as part of their research or
teaching statement a brief discussion of how their work will further these
ideals.

For full consideration, materials must be received by October 14, 2022. Review
of applications will begin on that date and will continue until the position
is filled. Later applications may be considered at the discretion of the
search committee.
