Meeting Description:

The Laboratoire Structures Formelles du Langage, (CNRS and Université Paris
8-UPL) are pleased to host a colloquium in honour of Maya Hickmann, Director
of Research CNRS.

The colloquium, which will take place at the Maison de la Recherche de
l’Université Paris 8, will be a forum for colleagues / researchers whose work
has been inspired by the works of Maya Hickmann herself.

Maya Hickmann was an eminent and inspiring researcher in the areas of language
acquisition, narrative discourse and reference to space from a
cross-linguistic perspective.

Maya passed away in September 2019, and we have been patiently waiting for the
end of the pandemic to organise this colloquium, which will allow us to honour
her and to speak about her as friends and colleagues.

An exciting programme includes colleagues in all of the abovementioned areas
of expertise.

The conference will be brought to a close with a Round Table including close
colleagues of Maya Hickmann. This Round Table will be followed by a general
research discussion and perspectives.
