Meeting Description:

Omar Dengo, Heredia, Costa Rica.

Call for Papers:

The Organizing Committee of the VII International Conference in Applied
Linguistics (and Literature) is pleased to invite you to participate with your
contribution in one of the following formats:

Paper Presentation: Presentation of philosophical or critical approaches, or
research advances or results in one of the thematic strands of the conference.
Each paper presentation must adhere to a 20-minute time slot and a period of
10 minutes for questions and answers.
Poster: Presentation of philosophical or critical approaches, or research
advances or results in one of the thematic strands of the conference in a
poster format. A space will be set aside, physical or virtual, for the display
and presentation of the posters. Presenters will have a 30-minute time slot to
present and interact with the audience.

Round Table: Organized discussion on one or several conference thematic
strands. Moderators will be in charge of submitting the abstract for the round
table and the topics to discuss. If the proposal is accepted, moderators must
ensure the academic quality of the presentations through a process of blind
peer review. This format has a one-and-a-half hour time slot. Moderators must
determine how much time they want to dedicate to Q&A.

Workshop: Sharing, creating, or introducing products of a pedagogical nature
related to one or several of the conference thematic strands. Proposal must be
accompanied by approximate duration of the workshop as well as the maximum
capacity of participants to be accepted. Proposed time duration will be taken
into consideration, but it may be adapted to accommodate the conference time
slots and space.
Abstracts must adhere to a maximum of 500 words, not including references.
Abstracts that do not comply with this word limit will be sent back to the
author(s) to be modified and resubmitted. All references, if included in the
abstract, must be formatted following the APA Style 7th edition for
Linguistics and Applied Linguistics papers and MLA Style for Literature and
related fields.

All abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer review process by experts in
each of the conference thematic strands: Applied Linguistics, Linguistics,
Literature and Cultural Studies.

If you are interested in helping with this process as a reviewer, send us an
email at cilap at una.ac.cr with your information. We appreciate your willingness
to help.

We look forward to receiving your contributions and to seeing you in our
conference.
Note: Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the conference modality will be announced
in July.
