Meeting Description:

The Department of Languages and Literature of the University of Nicosia is
pleased to announce the Advances in second/foreign language acquisition
(ASeFoLA) conference, which will be held online on 18-19 June 2022.

ASeFoLA aims to bring together researchers from around the world who are
working to better understand the second/foreign language acquisition process.
Contributions may concentrate on mono-/bi-/multilingual,
mono-/bi-/multidialectal, mono-/bi-/multivarietal, and heritage language
speakers who learn or acquire a second/foreign language in
mono-/bi-/multilingual contexts. Thus, any conclusions on the second/foreign
language acquisition process should consider both the role of speakers’
linguistic repertoires and the linguistic context.

Keynote speakers:

Dr Themistoklis Aravossitas, University of Toronto/York University, Canada
Dr Simone Pfenninger, University of Salzburg
Prof. Andrea Révész, University College London
Prof. Virginia Yip, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

We encourage submissions which employ varied research techniques from diverse
fields which include but are not limited to theoretical and applied

written in English and be anonymous. Each author can submit up to two
abstracts (one individual and one joint). Abstracts can be submitted through
EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=asefola2022
