Subject: Canada Excellence Research Chairs (CERC) in liberal arts at McMaster University

 
ARiEAL (The Centre for Advanced Research in Experimental and Applied
Linguistics), a language science research centre at McMaster University,
Canada, would like to bring the attention of the general linguistics community
to a funding opportunity for mid-career and senior scholars. The Faculty of
Humanities at McMaster University, which our Centre is part of, is seeking
outstanding researchers from liberal arts disciplines, including linguistics,
experimental linguistics and language documentation, for consideration as
Canada Excellence Research Chairs (CERC) nominees. The award duration is 8
years and has a maximum value of $500,000 or $1 million per year depending on
the discipline.

While we cannot assist with the application, we would be delighted to provide
information on the linguistics research being done at McMaster and the
research support ARiEAL could provide to a successful candidate. Please feel
