About This Opportunity:  
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow
(Computational Humanities) to join the School of Languages and Cultures. The
Language Technology and Data Analysis Lab (LADAL) in the School of Languages
and Cultures is driving the development of a series of national eResearch
infrastructure projects, including the Australian Text Analytics Platform
(ATAP) and the Language Data Commons of Australia (LDaCA), in collaboration
with the NCRIS-funded Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) and other key
national partner institutions. The primary purpose of this position is to
provide support for building and utilising the computational tools and
resources for analysing text corpora, including supporting the training of
researchers in the use of these tools, and to engage in computational research
on the development and use of text corpora.

About You: 
 - PhD in a relevant area of Data Science, or significant progress towards
such a qualification and relevant industry experience.
 - Demonstrated evidence of a record of publication in high-quality outlets in
the field.
 - Evidence of involvement in ongoing research projects, including plans for
external funding applications.
 - Demonstrated skills in common programming languages, including Python or R.
 - Evidence of ongoing research projects, including plans for external funding
applications.
 - Superior inter-personal and communication skills.
 - Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.

What We Can Offer: 
This is a full-time, fixed term position for 2.5 years at Academic Level B
(Research Only).
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range AUD$101,533 -
$120,570 p.a., plus super of up to 17% (the total FTE package will be in the
range AUD$118,794 - $141,067 p.a.).
