Meeting Description:

We are happy to announce that the 4th International Symposium on Applied
Phonetics, ISAPh 2022, will be organized by Lund University, Sweden, on 14-16
September 2022.

The conference follows the three previous ISAPh conferences held in Nagoya
(2016), Aizuwakamatsu (2018), and Tarragona (2021).

We are currently planning for an on-site conference, at Grand Hotel Lund
(www.grandilund.se), and hope to see you in Lund in September 2022.

Topics:
The conference welcomes contributions from different areas of applied
phonetics, that is, any application of the knowledge of phonetic science to
daily human life, including, but not exclusive to:
- how phonetic knowledge can guide the teaching and learning of foreign/second
languages,
- pronunciation teaching,
- language and accent coaching,
- sociophonetics,
- speech technology,
- speech pathology,
- forensic phonetics

Final Call for Papers:

The deadline of abstract submission is further extended to Sunday, 27 March,
2022. If you did not submit an abstract by the previous deadlines, you still
have a chance to submit an abstract. Please refer to the Call for Papers on

The conference consists of talk and poster sessions on Sept. 14–15, including
four keynote talks (by Paul Foulkes, Sonia Frota, Talia Isaacs, and Viveka
Lyberg Åhlander), followed by two workshops on Sept. 16, (one led by Jacques
Koreman and one by Yi Xu). 

We are also very pleased to announce that conference participation will be
free of charge, and lunches as well as conference dinner are included, thanks
to generous donations from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, Elisabeth Rausing
Language Programme, Elisabeth Rausings minnesfond, and Letterstedska
föreningen.
