African Linguistics School 6

Focus: The areas of focus are syntax, semantics, phonology, sociolinguistics, sign language and phonetic fieldwork.  ALS6 will  culminate in an NSF-funded "Cross-disciplinary Workshop on Information Structure in African Languages".
Minimum Education Level: BA


Special Qualifications:
Eligible students should be MA, PhD or post-doc level


Description:
The African Linguistics School (ALS) is a two-week institute which brings the
latest work in core areas of linguistics to students from African
universities.

Tuition: 0 

Tuition Explanation: Tuition is free; students will be asked to submit a small registration fee
upon arrival at ALS.


Financial Aid: Applications accepted until 15-Apr-2022
All accepted students from African universities will have transportation and accommodation expenses covered. 
A select number of accepted students from US universities will also have transportation and accommodation expenses covered.
