Meeting Description:

Dear colleagues, 

We are pleased to announce that the Inter-universitary Institute for Applied
Modern Languages and the Department of English and German Studies at the
University of Valencia will be hosting the 1st International Seminar on
Discourse and Gender (DISGEN1). The seminar will be held as an in-person event
between the 27-28th of October, 2022. The theme is Discourses of Gendered
Violence.

Our confirmed keynote speakers for this year’s event are: 
- Michelle Lazar (National University of Singapore, Singapore)
- Susan Ehrlich (York University, Canada)
- José Santaemilia (Universitat de València, Spain)
- Ann Weatherall (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand) 

We look forward to meeting you in Valencia next October.
