Call for Papers:

We are pleased to announce that the 36th Comparative Germanic Syntax Workshop
will be held at The University of Chicago on Friday and Saturday, the 7th-8th
October 2022.

Invited speakers:

Theresa Biberauer (Cambridge University)
Gereon Müller (Leipzig University)
Ad Neeleman (University College London)

We invite submissions for 20 minute talks (+ 10 minutes of discussion) on any
topic related to the syntax of Germanic languages. While talks that include a
comparative aspect are highly desired, we also welcome submissions that focus
on syntactic issues within a single Germanic language or dialect.

Abstracts should not exceed 2 single-spaced pages with a 1 inch margin and
12pt font. Examples should be interspersed in the text, rather than collected
at the end. References may be omitted for review and later included on an
additional page after acceptance.

An author may submit at most two abstracts of which only one can be
single-authored.

Abstracts should be submitted via EasyChair:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cgsw36

Deadline for abstract submission: July 15, 2022 (midnight)
