Description:

The Linguistics Program at https://psu.edu (University Park) invites
applications for a one-year, full-time Assistant Teaching Professor position
in Linguistics (non-tenure-track) beginning Fall 2022 with possibility of
renewal.

Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced courses in our
undergraduate linguistics program. The anticipated teaching assignment is
three courses/semester (six courses spanning Fall/Spring). The successful
candidate will have opportunities to participate in our interdisciplinary
scholarly community, which offers a dual-title Ph.D. in Language Science. The
area of specialization is open, though applicants with a specialization in a
non-Indo-European language or language family are especially welcome.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in Linguistics or related field by the time
of appointment and have relevant teaching experience. In addition, successful
candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an
inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more
ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity. Salary is
commensurate with experience and includes benefits. All courses will be taught
in person at the University Park campus.
