Dynamic Teaching of Russian: Gamification of Learning

Call for Proposals for Research, Pedagogical Case Studies, and Vignettes

Do you teach Russian as a foreign, second, or heritage language? Do you employ
fun and engaging strategies, games, and simulations instead of or in addition
to a textbook? Please consider submitting a proposal for the edited volume
Dynamic Teaching of Russian: Gamification of Learning in the Routledge series
on Russian language pedagogy and research    

We would like to hear from various fields and backgrounds of Russian language
instruction. Language of publication: English; 3,000 to 5,000 words +
references and appendices.

We are equally interested in theory-heavy explorations, research, and
submissions that focus on teaching practice. International teams of co-authors
are especially encouraged: please consider reaching out to a colleague outside
of your country.  

Submit proposals to the editors Svetlana Nuss, University of Alaska, and Vita
Kogan, University College London, via https://forms.gle/7VjURyutDaJK1hDQ9 
Only if your country of residence does not allow access to Google, please send
proposals via email to both svnuss at alaska.edu and v.kogan at ucl.ac.uk
Proposal requirements: up to 300-word expression of interest, outlining main
arguments and methodology, if applicable, along with a short professional
background of the author/s. 
Timeline:
- Up to 300-word expression of interest due: May 19, 2022
- Notification of acceptance to proceed to chapter/case stage: May 25, 2022
- First draft of chapters/case studies due: August 12, 2022
- Revisions and peer review: draft of chapters/case studies due:
September-November, 2022
- Final manuscripts due: mid-November of 2022
- Publication: Spring of 2023
- All submissions follow the same timeline and same general requirements
