Description:

Sensory, Inc. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual to drive
audio and video collections for speech and vision technologies. A good
candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and will be able to work
independently, be comfortable learning new tools and technologies, and be
capable of managing many speech and video data collections simultaneously,
often under aggressive customer schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 - Acquire speech, video, and text data, recruit speakers, and coordinate data
collection efforts
 - Utilize tools and scripts for efficient data processing
 - Organize and contribute to data review, transcription, and annotation
 - Help definite annotation schemas and ensure consistent annotations
 - Maintain corpora, including metadata and data rights and licensing
information
 - Review audio and visual data and provide assessments related to audio
quality

Qualifications:
 - 1+ years of experience managing audio or video collection efforts or
similar projects
 - 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams
 - 1+ years of professional experience programming or scripting
 - Excellent communication and organizational skills
 - Comfort using and providing feedback on tools during their development
 - Excel at working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
 - Ability to manage multiple projects at once
 - Bachelor's or advanced degree in Linguistics, computer science, or related
field

Preferred:
 - Five or more years industry experience
 - Familiarity with the field of speech recognition
 - Experience with audio equipment and audio software
 - 3+ more years of experience managing audio or video collection efforts or
similar projects
 - Experience working with speech or language data, especially as related to
evaluating data usability
 - Previous experience with data collection tools and libraries
 - Fluency in at least one foreign language
 - International travel experience or experience with multiple cultures
