The 4th Performance in Education: Research & Practice Conference/Student
Showcase/Film Festival (4th PIE) is an annual event hosted by the Performance
in Education Special Interest Group (PIE SIG) and the Okinawa chapter of the
Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT). This year's event will be held
in person and online in Nagoya, Japan and through Zoom from July 29-31.

4th PIE is an annual event dedicated to showcasing ''performance in
education'' in its myriad forms in the second language classroom. 4th PIE
hopes to provide language teachers and students in a second language learning
context with a platform to demonstrate their research, teaching, and learning
centered on performance--whether this be stage productions, radio dramas,
presentations, or any other form performance may take. The hybrid format of
this year's conference will allow for talks and events to be held in person in
Nagoya, Japan and also streamed online, with all concurrent sessions and talks
by expert speakers on Sunday, July 31, being streamed online (synchronously or
asynchronously).
