Description:

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Washington University
in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time lecturer in Spanish, with a
focus on Spanish/Hispanic Linguistics. We seek a candidate with expertise in
linguistics to teach courses at all levels of the Spanish Language Program,
including elementary and intermediate courses in Spanish, upper-level
linguistics courses, and Spanish for Heritage Speakers. We are especially
interested in candidates who could teach Spanish sociolinguistics.

The appointment will begin in the fall semester of 2022, and run for one
academic year, with the possibility of renewal. Classes begin in August.
Master’s degree in Spanish/Linguistics required; PhD in Spanish/Linguistics
preferred. Please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of
recommendation, and supporting teaching materials, including course syllabi
and teaching evaluations. We will accept applications until the search is
closed, but will give priority to those received by June 1, 2022. Proof of
