Subject: Call for Proposals to host Learner Corpus Research 2024 (LCR2024)

The Board of the Learner Corpus Association (LCA) invites proposals from teams
interested in hosting the next Learner Conference Research conference in 2024:
LCR2024.

The event should be organized by a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and will
be expected to further the aims of the LCA, as laid out in its constitution.
LOCs normally consist of a team of 3-5 members.

In order to be held under the auspices of the LCA, organizers must have their
proposals accepted by the LCA Board. Advice and support will be available from
the Board throughout the entire process, from proposal to event.

LCR conferences are normally held in September or early October from Thursday
morning to Saturday lunchtime. They normally attract between 100-130
delegates. LCR2024 will be a physical event, although we welcome suggestions
for an additional hybrid component.

Previous conferences have been held in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium; 2011),
Bergen (Norway; 2013), Cuijk (the Netherlands; 2015), Bolzano/Bozen (Italy;
2017), and Warsaw (Poland, 2019). LCR2022 will be hosted at the University of
Padua (Italy) from 22-24 September.

The deadline for receiving proposals is 01 September 2022.

All applicants will be notified of the LCA Board’s decision at LCR2022, after
which the decision will be announced to the public.

Looking forward to receiving your proposals!
