Description:

The Department of Linguistics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at
the University of Connecticut invites applications for a one-year Visiting
Assistant Professorship in Semantics and Computational Linguistics, starting
on August 23, 2022.

The teaching assignments for this position include introductory courses in
semantics and general linguistics, as well as computational linguistics
(combined undergraduate and graduate course), and elementary programming
(Python). Duties also include the supervision of teaching assistants, advising
graduate students with related interests, and other responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be expected to share a deep commitment to
effective instruction at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to the
mentoring of students in their professional development. The Department is
committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and outreach; the successful
candidate will be expected to promote these values through their activities.
