Meeting Description:

The Linguistics and English Language Postgraduate Conference is an annual
event hosted by the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences at
the University of Edinburgh, and is open to students and recent graduates from
all over the world. 

With 29 years of experience, the conference offers a great opportunity to
refine thoughts, share concerns, and receive constructive criticism in a
supportive and convivial environment. 

All talks, workshops and social events are in person. No online/hybrid options
offered. 


Call for Papers:

We are thrilled to announce that the 29th annual Linguistics and English
Language Postgraduate Conference (LELPGC23) will be held from 5th June to 7th
June 2023. The conference will take place in-person at The University of
Edinburgh, Scotland (circumstances permitting). Hybrid/online options will not
be offered.

Submissions are now invited for talks and posters. Talks should be 20 minutes
long followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. Papers relevant to any subfields of
Linguistics are welcome, and submissions from internal and external students
as well as recent graduates (up to 1 year after graduation) are welcome.
Ongoing works will also be considered.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words (excluding references) and a
maximum of 2 figures. Abstracts must be submitted completely anonymised and in
PDF format (max. 5MB), by 11:59PM (GMT) on 20th December 2022 using this form.
Only one submission is required for abstracts with more than one author.

All abstracts will be subject to peer review and only notification of
acceptance will be provided by 6th February 2023. Visit our website for more
