Description:

The Linguistics Department at Queen Mary University of London is looking to
appoint TWO full-time, fixed-term Postdoctoral Research Associates. 

The posts are associated with the ESRC project “Generations of London English:
Dialect and Social Change in Real Time”
(https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=ES%2FW013118%2F1).
Investigators: Devyani Sharma (QMUL, PI), Paul Kerswill (York), Kathleen
McCarthy (QMUL), Sam Hellmuth (York). 

Key dates:
Deadline for applications: 1 December
Interviews within 2 weeks
Start date of posts: 1 March 2023
End dates of posts:  31/1/25 (23 months) and 31/12/25 (34 months)

The post holders' responsibilities will include extensive sociolinguistic
fieldwork, data processing and statistical analysis, acoustic analysis,
supporting lab experiments in speech perception and/or child data collection,
preparing presentations and publications, supporting project administration
and stakeholder engagement, and undertaking related project activities.
