Description:

The Department of Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University is seeking to
fill a tenure-track / tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or
Associate Professor in the area of computational
linguistics/psycholinguistics. The ideal candidates will have exceptional
records of conducting computational research that makes substantive contact
with linguistic theory, and fits into the broader Machine Learning and AI
community at JHU. Candidates are preferred whose research enhances or extends
existing strengths of the department, including core areas of linguistic
theory (phonetics/phonology/syntax/semantics/pragmatics), (computational)
cognitive neuroscience, cognitive neuropsychology, language
development/acquisition, and computational cognitive science more broadly. A
PhD in a relevant field is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong
commitment to furthering diversity and inclusion in the department and to
effective teaching and mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate levels in a
department that places trainees in careers including academia, research
positions, and industry.
