Description:

Metropolitan State University of Denver’s English Department invites
applications for one full-time Assistant Professor of Linguistics tenure-track
position to begin August 2023. 

Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in
computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, or in topics related to
underrepresented languages and social groups, although candidates with
research interests in all areas of linguistics are encouraged to apply. The
ability to teach a diverse student body and non-traditional students in an
urban environment is required. In addition to teaching and creating courses in
their own areas of expertise, candidates should be willing to teach a wide
variety of linguistics classes at all levels and online; engage in
professional development; and provide service to the department, college (of
Letters Arts and Sciences), university, and community. The normal teaching
load is 9 credit hours per semester. Candidates must have obtained their Ph.D.
in Linguistics by August 15, 2023.
