Call Deadline: 15-May-2023

Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce the organisation of a truly international
conference on TESOL with the major theme: Best Practices in Second
Language Education. The conference scientific board is made of leaders
and key figures in L2 education from around the world and the
confirmed plenary speakers are themselves pioneers in the field. We
are very excited about this major TESOL event in the region and invite
you to join us as a speaker or as a participant to celebrate the 100th
anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

Contributions are invited for 20-minute oral presentations (as well as
poster presentations) or 45-minute workshop on a wide range of topics
related to the theory and practice of second language education, SLA,
TESOL and applied linguistics. This will also be a great opportunity
for you to meet and catch up with some of the pioneers in the field,
your fellow researchers and practitioners working in different parts
of the world, as well as visiting the historical and attractive city
of Istanbul.

We are in particular interested in learning more about documented and
research-based practices in second language education/acquisition in
one or more of the following areas:

- Innovative L2 Teaching Methods

- New Approaches to Teaching Language Skills/Sub-skills

- Digital Tools/Techniques in Language Education

- CALL/MALL/TELL

- SLA

- L2 Assessment

- L2 Teacher Education and Professional Practice

- Teaching Literature/Translation/ICC

- Practitioner-based Research Methods

- Any Topic of Interest to L2 Learners/Learning, Teachers/Teaching,
and Assessors/Assessing

Call for Papers:

Abstract proposals can be submitted for consideration by the
Conference Scientific Committee. An abstract of 200 words (max) can be
submitted for evaluation. The abstract (if based on an empirical
study) should include research aims, a summary of method, findings and
practical implications. Non-research-based abstracts should clearly
indicate implications for practice. After evaluation, abstracts will
be accepted for oral or poster presentation. Each author can submit up
to 3 abstracts or be a co-author in up to 3 abstracts. All
communications will be made with the corresponding author, who will
need to inform his/her colleagues about further steps and procedures.
The deadline for abstract submission is 15 May 2023.

Accepted proposals will be published in a Conference Abstracts Book in
the form of a DVD and will be published online at the Conference
Website.
