Subject: Update for the Linguist List Fund Drive 2023 Donor Challenge


We are now four weeks into the Linguist List Fund Drive 2023 Donor
Challenge and the support is still pouring in! Thank you all so much
for your contributions, you help us reach the goals that allow us to
expand our accessibility, reach and more!

Let's take a look at our standings!

In our subfield challenge, Semantics has come roaring back to take the
lead at $1,505, widening the gap from Sociolinguistics with $1,285.
Syntax and Pragmatics trade blows as well for 3rd place! Which
subfield will win? Stay tuned in to find out!

In our University challenge, Cornell and Stanford remain neck and
neck. The field has grown greatly in the four weeks of competition,
with contributions from College of the Holy Cross, Brigham Young
University, Keio University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies!

In our Country Challenge, Canada and Germany fight for second place,
Canada in the lead by less than $100. The table is joined by countries
all across the globe, including South Korea, Finland and Belgium! If

The winners of each of the challenges will receive a feature in the
special post at the end of the Fund Drive. This is a great opportunity
