LexCheck is seeking enthusiastic recent graduates who are passionate
about or interested in AI and want to be part of a growing start-up.
We are the leading Contract Acceleration and Intelligence Platform,
revolutionizing the legal industry with AI-driven solutions that fuse
business, legal, and technical expertise. LexCheck believes stronger
business relationships can be forged when departments and companies
agree faster.

With a recent round of funding from a premier Series A partner, the
Mayfield Fund, we are expanding our impact at the intersection of
business and legal. As such, we are looking for motivated, meticulous,
and driven recent graduates to help us change the way legal contracts
are negotiated.

If you don’t have a heavy technical background but have been wanting
to learn more about AI, or if you’re someone who loves building out
processes and establishing new frameworks, this is the position for
you! This is a new position at LexCheck that will work closely with
our lawyers and linguists to create and execute on proposed
responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
 - Become an expert on legal contract types and terminology with a
deep understanding of the unique syntax and semantics of legal
documents
 - Review, correct, and train the output of LexCheck’s proprietary AI,
which uses cutting-edge language processing technology to edit to
legal contracts
 - Compare our client’s preferred legal stances to the output of
LexCheck’s AI and modify the output as necessary
 - Detect and escalate unusual language modifications to LexCheck’s
team of lawyers
 - Ensure LexCheck’s AI is providing value to our clients by A/B
testing the results of the AI with the markups of our lawyers
 - Work hand in hand with our lawyers and linguists to develop best
practices and processes for the above
 - Partner regularly with our product and development teams to provide
AI improvement suggestions and requirements
 - Perform other duties as required

About You:
 - 2022 or expected 2023 graduate of a top university
 - Degree or focus in linguistics or any similar field; if you’re not
sure if you studied in a ‘similar field’, please apply!
 - Stellar written and verbal communication skills - the idea of
reviewing and comprehending legal language excites you!
 - An appreciation for doing things the right way the first time
 - Creativity, drive, and a genuine desire to make someone’s day a
little easier
 - An interest in startups and desire to learn more about startup
culture
 - Tech savviness (you use tech to become efficient) and competence
(you dive in and learn) with knowledge of  Office 365 and/or G-Suite
on MacOS
