Subject: FINAL REPORT of this Year's Survey from the Sociolinguistic Events Calendar!

Hmm, well the email subject says "this year's survey" but technically
it's kinda more like last year's survey. We ran the survey in late
2022 but it seriously took me this long to cobble it together into a
report, such is life! Hopefully it's been worth the wait. If it
hasn't, I will personally issue a full refund.

Anyway, in late 2022 we ran the survey and a real number of actual
people completed it, thereby giving us a fully rigorous and unarguably
scientific gauge of how every sociolinguist everywhere now feels about
online conferences, virtual meetups, and other forms of cyber
tomfoolery gently ushered in by the Covid pandemic in all its glory.

The full report is here ----> https://www.academia.edu/105151065/

Enjoy!

Please forward this email to anyone who might be interested, and
anyone who might not be. Please also retweet the news!
https://twitter.com/DaveJSayers/status/1688850709893050368 (And/or
share on other social networks run by potentially less annoying
billionaires.)

Last but by no means least, of course, make sure to subscribe to the
Sociolinguistic Events Calendar - and why not also set it as your
browser homepage? https://www.baal.org.uk/slxevents. Our other survey
reports are all linked there too. Spread the word, and the love!

Chronologically yours,
Dave (on behalf of the SEC team)
