Description:

You have experience with classical rule-based NLU and with generative
AI? Are you able to lead a team without losing sight of the goal? In
addition, you convince with your charisma and can represent our
company to the outside world?

Kauz is a leading provider of chatbots and AI assistants for customer
and employee service. We are looking for an experienced Chief AI
Officer (m/f/d) to combine generative AI and controllable AI. Our
headquarters is Düsseldorf, remote working/ home office is mostly
possible.

Recent breakthroughs in generative AI are expanding the ability to
create high-quality chatbots in less time. From the customer's
perspective, the need to use reliable data sources and controllable AI
remains paramount. Therefore, we focus on tight integration of
generative AI and LLMs and our self-developed leading NLU engine. Your
task is to lead and coordinate this ongoing development.

Your tasks:
 - As a team leader, you are responsible for the further development
of our AI assistants and implement our strategic goals across teams
 - You will support our developers and remove obstacles as part of our
agile, sprint-based development process.
 - Your main focus is the development of interfaces between generative
AI and rule based NLU
 - You advise customers, analyze requirements and support the
preparation of offers with your expertise
 - You optimize workflows, organizational structures and technologies
in close exchange with employees and customers
 - You monitor KPIs and budgets
 - In addition to managing the AI team, you will also be responsible
for its expansion and development. This includes both the hiring of
new employees and further training of the existing team
 - Last but not least, you also enjoy participating "hands-on" when
needed

Requirements:
 - You have experience with rule-based and generative AI
 - You have relevant leadership experience with personnel
responsibility and the ability to implement goals together with your
team
 - You have strong problem solving skills and love to develop and
implement ideas
 - You work with Python and know relevant open source libraries and
platforms such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Spacy,
and Hugging Face.
 - Java is also not foreign to you
 - You have very good German and English skills
