Description:

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at
Wichita State University in Wichita is seeking applications for a
tenure-track position in Spanish at the rank of Assistant Professor
beginning in August 2024. The successful candidate will have
demonstrated teaching excellence, desire to teach a variety of course
levels, and interest in expanding the Spanish for the professions
program to intermediate courses. As we are an emerging Hispanic
Serving Student Institution, the candidate should have a desire to
work with heritage speakers and the local Latino community, promoting
student and community engagement. The position involves engaging in
scholarly activity; teaching three courses a semester in undergraduate
and graduate courses; advising students; serving the department, the
university, and the community.
