linguistics. The conference is open to all research topics represented within
the SFL laboratory: phonology (including its interfaces), syntax and
semantics, Deaf Studies (including sign language studies), acquisition and
psycholinguistics, interactional dynamics and multimodality.

de la Recherche of the Université Paris 8 (5 Rue de la Liberté, 93200
Saint-Denis, France).

Call for Papers:

The call for papers is open to doctoral students and young researchers in
language sciences from French and international universities. Papers and
posters should address the theme of complexity with respect to one or more of
the following research areas integrating different dimensions of theoretical
or experimental linguistic research.
Acquisition and psycholinguistics
Deaf Studies (including sign language studies)
Interactional dynamics and multimodality
Phonology (including its interfaces)
Syntax and semantics
The focus of the papers should be on experimental and/or theoretical methods
that help us to better understand different forms of linguistic complexity.

How to apply:

Please indicate the affiliations of the authors on the abstract. The first
author, who will present the proposal at the ColDoc, must be a doctoral
student or a young researcher.

Please indicate whether the proposal is for a spoken/signed talk or a poster.

Information for writing the abstract:

Accepted languages: English, French

Limit: 500 words and 5 bibliographic references

Format: .pdf

For suggestions on how to write the abstract, please consult the websites
(https://cla-acl.ca/news/appel-acl-2023-cla-call.html in FR;
https://societaslinguistica.eu/sle2023/how-to-write-a-good-abstract/ in EN).

Selection process:

Proposals will be evaluated anonymously by the Scientific Committee.

The abstract should clearly illustrate the link between the research project
and the theme of complexity in linguistics, highlighting the methodology and
the results, whether experimental or theoretical.

The Scientific Committee will evaluate and accept the proposals taking into
account their relevance to the ColDoc theme, their originality and their
methodological rigour.

The Committee will also define whether the proposal will be presented with a
talk or with a poster, according to the needs of the programme (e.g., to
ensure a balance in the representation of the laboratory's thematic axes).

Information on the modalities of presentation of contributions:
