Meeting Description:

Interactional Linguistics is one of the most rapidly-growing research areas
contemporary linguistic circle over the last decade. The International
Conference on Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies has been
held four times since 2014, and has become an international platform where
scholars learn the cutting-edge researches of this field and have in-depth
communications. The working languages of the conference are Chinese and
English.


Call for Papers:

5th International Conference on Interactional 
Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies (IL-CLSC 5)

Hosted by the journal Studies of the Chinese Language (Zhongguo Yuwen) at the
Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, together with
Xi’an International Studies University, the 5th International Conference on
Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies (IL-CLSC 5) will be
held on April 8th and 9th at Xi’an International Studies University, Xi’an,
China.
Interactional Linguistics is one of the most rapidly-growing research areas in
contemporary linguistics over recent decades. The International Conference on
Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies has been held four
times since 2014 and has become an international platform for scholars to
share and get exposure to cutting-edge research in the field.

The main topics of the conference are as follows:

1) Theoretical and methodological issues of interactional linguistics.
2) Studies on Chinese languages from an interactional linguistic perspective.
3) Comparative studies of languages from an interactional linguistic
perspective.
4) Multimodality and speech communication.

Participants of the conference should submit two copies of abstracts for peer
review, with one being anonymous and the other including the name,
institutional affiliation and email address of the author(s). The main body of
the abstract should be in Times New Roman, size 12, and the title in Times New
Roman, size 16. The maximum length of an abstract should be 1 page (A4).
Please note that while abstracts in Chinese, English or Japanese are all
acceptable, keynote speeches and panel presentations should be made only in
Chinese or English.
