Meeting Description:

The Department of Linguistics, University of Dhaka invites you for the
upcoming International Conference on ''Multilingualism, Multimodality and
Language Research'' which will take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh on the 19th of
February 2023 in Hybrid (both in-person and online) format. The conference
focuses on all aspects of the linguistic and sociolinguistic competences and
practices of multilingual speakers, different areas of corpus linguistics and
multimodal approaches of linguistic research to new and overlapping linguistic
spaces.


Call for Papers:

The DULC2023 will cover (multiple) language acquisition and learning,
psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics of multilingualism; translanguaging;
multilingual education; multilingual language policies; literacy in multiple
languages; intercultural and globalisation issues related to multilingualism;
multilingual issues in media, literature and translation; Bangla corpus
development and natural language processing; computational aspects of Bangla
language, multimodal approaches to language learning and recent trends of
language research in various institutional, social, and cultural contexts. The
conference also welcomes presentations based on studies conducted from
inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary perspectives, involving research
into language/s in different academic disciplines. The conference welcomes
individual paper presentations and posters.

Abstract submission opens: 5th December 2022
Abstract submission deadline: 31st January 2023
Maximum of one single-authored paper and one co-authored paper or two
co-authored papers
Abstracts of no more than 750 words (including references)
