ORIENTAL MEETINGS IN SOSNOWIEC (SOSNOWIECKIE SPOTKANIA ORIENTALISTYCZNE)

An interdisciplinary academic conference promoting intercultural dialogue,
addressed to young scholars, including postgraduate and graduate students,
whose research interests focus on the languages, literatures and cultures of
Oriental countries, especially Arabic-speaking countries, Central Asian
countries, China, Japan and India.

The conference will explore a wide spectrum of topics ranging from ancient
civilizations to the present-day cultures and languages of these regions in
all their richness and diversity.


Call for Papers:

Venue: online on MS Teams and at the Institute of Linguistics, ul. Grota
Roweckiego 5, 41-205 Sosnowiec, Poland.
Conference languages: English / Polish.
Paper presentations: 20 minutes for the presentation plus 5 minutes for the
discussion.

Abstract submission: Abstracts (no longer than 250 words, Times New Roman, 12
pts.) should be submitted in PDF or Word format to konferencja.omis at gmail.com
by 20 February 2023, along with the filled registration form in a PDF format
(the registration form can be found on our website https://omis.us.edu.pl/).
The body of the email should contain the author's first name and surname,
affiliation and the title of the presentation.
Paper acceptance notification: by 21 February 2023
Conference fee: 150 PLN (onsite presentation) or 100PLN (online presentation).
