Meeting Description:

The Lingua linguistics student group at the University of Texas at Arlington
is pleased to announce its 28th annual Student Conference in Linguistics and
TESOL. The conference will be held in person at the University of Texas at
Arlington on Friday, March 31st, 2023. UTASCILT is an opportunity for students
of linguistics and TESOL to come together and share their current research in
any relevant field of study.


Call for Papers:

The Lingua student group at UTA would like to announce that we will be
accepting abstracts for the 28th annual University of Texas at Arlington
Student Conference in Linguistics and TESOL. This annual conference is
designed to give students the opportunity to hone their presentation skills
and share their research to a wider audience. Additionally, all presenters at
the conference will be considered for the Yumi Nakamura Memorial Prize in
Linguistics, which is an annual award with a ***cash prize***.
 
This year’s conference will be held in person and the University of Texas at
Arlington on Friday, March 31, 2023. For this day-long conference, we will be
accepting 8 abstracts for oral presentations, as well as entries for a poster
session. 
 
Abstract submissions will be accepted starting Monday, January 23, and close
on Friday, March 3. Presenters will be notified early the following week.
Abstracts should be submitted in 8.5” x 11” format with 1-inch margins on all
sides. Abstracts must be single-spaced and written using Times New Roman 12pt
font and submitted as PDF. The text of the abstract must be no longer than 1
page, however an additional page for figures, supplementary materials and
references is allowed.
