Focus: Focus on topics related to prosody, pragmatics and especially
their interfaces in order to exchange ideas, identify common topics,
discuss new methods, and provide networking opportunities with other
researchers in this field.

Special Qualifications:
This workshop is addressed to early career researchers (PhD students
and Postdocs within 3-5 years of completing their PhD) working on
topics related to the prosody-pragmatics interface (approaching from
either a prosody or a pragmatics perspective) to submit their papers
for our upcoming workshop. The workshop aims to provide a platform for
exchanging ideas, discussing new methods, and fostering networking
opportunities in these fields. We encourage submissions with a focus
on study designs and analysis methods, including projects in the
planning stages.

Description:
The workshop "Voices in Contexts" will take place on October 12th -
13th, 2023 in Cologne and is organized by early career researchers
from the CRC 1252 "Prominence in Language", University of Cologne.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together early career
researchers who are working on topics related to prosody, pragmatics
and especially their interfaces in order to exchange ideas, identify
common topics, discuss new methods, and provide networking
opportunities with other researchers in this field.

Abstracts should be written in English and should not exceed two A4
pages (one-page abstract and one additional page for figures and
references). Abstracts need not be anonymized and should be sent to
