Meeting Description:

El II Encuentro Latinoamericano de Interfaces Gramaticales (ELIG II)
propone un espacio de discusión e intercambio académico para
investigadoras/es interesadas/os en diferentes aspectos de la
adquisición (primera y segunda lengua y aprendizaje de lectura), el
procesamiento humano y automático del lenguaje y la gramática de las
distintas lenguas. La propuesta flexible es dedicar aproximadamente un
día a cada una de las temáticas en el respectivo orden y hacerlo en
una modalidad híbrida tal que un número de presentaciones (alrededor
del treinta por ciento) pueda ser en línea.

ELIG sustenta dos ideas centrales. La primera es que las gramáticas
encriptadas en las lenguas consisten en interrelaciones sistemáticas
-interfaces- entre subsistemas autónomos, pero interdependientes. De
aquí que el interés por descifrar las interfaces al interior del signo
lingüístico tanto en abstracto -descripción gramatical- como en uso
-procesamiento y adquisición- resulta el centro de
atención de ELIG. La segunda es que la naturaleza del signo
lingüístico demanda indispensablemente para su comprensión una tarea,
por un lado, interdisciplinaria y, por otro, tipológica, esto es,
inclusiva de distintas lenguas. En tal sentido auspiciamos trabajos
psico y neurolingüísticos, de procesamiento automático del lenguaje y
de descripción gramatical de distintas lenguas.

II Latin American Meeting on Grammatical Interfaces: Grammar,
Acquisition, and Language Processing.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format.

Submission of Papers:

To participate in the conference with a 25-minute presentation, we
invite you to submit abstracts to encuentro.elig at gmail.com. Please
follow these guidelines:

- Submit a Word document for Windows in .doc, .docx, or .rtf format,
using Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, justified
text.
- Include the title of the paper, name(s) of the author(s), academic
affiliation, and email address at the top of the text.
- Provide three to five keywords.
- Include bibliographic references (up to five).
- The maximum length should be 400 words.
- Specify the chosen mode of presentation: in-person or online.

Please name the submitted document using the author's last name and
first name.
