Description:

We invite applications for a postdoctoral research position to be
involved in the “LeibnizDream” (leibnizdream.eu) project, approved by
the European Research Council in the Synergy Grant 2019 call. The
opening is based at the Department of German Studies and Linguistics
at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (the “Compressor Group”, PI
Artemis Alexiadou). The position is to start in August 2023 or soon
after. The contract will be until the end of 2026. The salary will be
according to the E13 of the TV-L salary scale.

The tasks of the position are:
 - to provide scientific contribution to the ERC research project
“LeibnizDream”
 - to be involved in large-scale, crosslinguistic child language
research and comparative experiments in language acquisition across up
to 50 different languages in collaboration with partners across the
globe
 - to carry out research on different areas of morphosyntax/semantics,
with a focus on  the expression of causation and agency, and of motion
events
 - to contribute to the development of morphological theory, prepare
and carry out experiments, oversee the process of data collection, and
then analyze and publish acquisition studies in these domains

Requirements:
 - PhD in Linguistics (prior to 1.8.23)
 - expertise in morphology, desired assets: cross-linguistic
morphology, and morphological acquisition, syntax, semantics,
experimental methods
