Meeting Description:

We are organizing an International Sociolinguistics Research Symposium
on 23-25 November 2023 to examine the social dynamics of language and
its role in social interaction. The symposium, hosted by Dicle
University in Turkey, aims to bring together researchers from
linguistics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, communication,
literature, and other related disciplines to share new knowledge and
develop different perspectives.

Some of the topics that the symposium, which is open to all studies
related to the discipline of Sociolinguistics, will address but not
limited to the following areas: Language Variation and Change,
Language Attitudes and Ideologies, Language and Identity, Language
Socialization, Language and Education, Bilingualism and
Multilingualism, Digital Language and Society, Language and Social
Class, Language and Media, Conversation Analysis and Discourse
Analysis, Language and Ethnicity,  Code Switching and Translanguaging,
Language and Gender, Language and Age, Language Policy and Planning,
Linguistic Landscapes Studies, Language Acquisition, Language and
Culture, Language and Power, Language and Workplace, Language Contact,
Language Shift.
