Meeting Description:

47th Austrian Linguistics Conference (ÖLT 2023)

We are pleased to announce the workshop 'Current issues in syntax,
semantics, and pragmatics' as a part of the ÖLT 2023 (47th Austrian
Linguistics Conference), which will take place from December 8th to
10th in Graz, Austria. This workshop aims to create opportunities for
researchers to discuss their original, unpublished work related to any
of the fields mentioned in its title as well as at the interfaces. We
invite submissions for oral presentations (20mins talk+10mins
discussion) of theoretical and/or empirical contributions
investigating the syntax, semantics, or pragmatics of natural language
phenomena. Since the workshop is not limited to a particular topic or
researched language, we also welcome submissions on linguistic
phenomena from languages other than German.

Call for Papers:

Abstracts should not exceed two A4 pages (with 1inch/2.54cm margins on
all sides, Times New Roman, font size no smaller than 12pt), with an
additional third page permitted *only* for references, and large
figures or tables. Examples (no matter whether glossed or not) should
be interspersed in the text rather than collected at the end.
Submissions must be anonymous and must not reveal the identities of
the authors in any way. At most two submissions per (co-)author are
allowed, of which only one may be single-authored. Please send your
abstracts (in PDF format) to synsemprag.oelt2023 at gmail.com no later
than September 24.

IMPORTANT DATES:
Abstract submission deadline: 24 September 2023 (23:59 CET)
Notification of decision: 8 October 2023
Conference: 8-10 December 2023 (Workshop: 8-9 December 2023)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
synsemprag.oelt2023(at)gmail.com or mbutschety.ling(at)gmail.com at
any time. For further information about the conference, please also
