Meeting Description:

Description: As in previous years, we intend to cover a wide range of
topics, encompassing various domains and directions of research in the
study of Romanian and in theoretical linguistics, bringing together a
large number of researchers from Romania and abroad.

Keynote speakers:
Carmen Dobrovie-Sorin (LLF-CNRS, Paris)
Marie-Christine Pollet (Université libre de Bruxelles)

The workshop Issues in the Syntax and Semantics of Definiteness is
hosted by the conference. The workshop is held in a hybrid format,
in-person and online.

Manfred Krifka (Leibniz-Zentrum Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft, Berlin)
Alexandra Simonenko (Ghent University)
Radek Šimík (Charles University and Institute of Czech Language and
Theory of Communication, Prague)

Call for Papers:

We encourage topics in but not limited to the following fields:
- morphology, syntax, phonetics, and phonology;
- pragmatics and stylistics;
- lexicology and lexicography, semantics, and terminology;
- history of language, philology, and dialectology;
- teaching Romanian as a mother tongue (the topic is New perspectives
in the didactics of oral communication) and teaching a foreign
language (Romanian or other language).
Conference languages: Romanian, English, French.

Abstracts will be one page in length and will be included in the
participation form attached to the present call for papers before
October 5th to colocviu.lingvistica.2023 at gmail.com.

Presentations will be scheduled for 30 minute slots (20 minutes
presentation followed by 10 minutes for discussions).

Registration fee: € 50 (or RON 250); doctoral students, € 25 (RON
125).
