Meeting Description:

In celebration of the conclusion of the Bantu Syntax and Information
Structure (BaSIS) project, running at Leiden University from 2017 –
2023, there will be a 2-day conference organised in Leiden on the 8–9
June 2023 in hybrid (physical + online) format. The theme of the
conference is the influence of information structure on (Bantu)
morphosyntax, and we are happy to have Michael Diercks (Pomona
College) as our invited speaker.

Program:

We are happy to announce the programme for the Bantu Syntax and
Information Structure (BaSIS) conference, to be held 8th-9th June in
celebration of the conclusion of the BaSIS project at Leiden
University. There will be 2 days of talks, including a plenary by
Michael Diercks, presentations from the BaSIS project members,
presentations by international researchers, and general discussion.
