Description:

The Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology is
currently inviting applications for the following position: Postdoctoral
researcher in the field of Full-Stack Software Development, (100%, E 13 TV-L)

We are looking for a senior software developer and development team manager
who is motivated to work on the interdisciplinary field of education software
development,  focusing on utilizing artificial intelligence for education
purposes. The successful candidate will also be coordinating the development
efforts by supervising junior developers, student helpers, and third-party
suppliers and will offer courses (usually one course per semester), e.g. in
one of our study programs. The position comes with a 6-year contract and the
candidate is expected to start as soon as possible. 

Requirements: 
 - PhD graduate with degree in computer science, computational linguistics,
software engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence or related
fields.
 - At least 3 years of full-stack software development experience, proficient
in commonly used programming languages such Java, Python, Node, as well as
technologies and frameworks such as Servlets, Hibernate, Angular, XML, XSLT
and so on.
 - Experience with intelligent education system development as demonstrated by
practical systems using AI-technologies such as natural language processing
and machine learning technologies as well as Learning Analytics.
 - Experience with education research, familiar with education research
processes, data collection, data analysis with statistical tools such R or
SPSS, demonstrated abilities to write high-quality research papers for
publication.
 - Preferably at least one year of software development team management
experience and the ability to conduct project budget control, implement agile
project management, and coordinate the team efforts to achieve development
goals effectively and efficiently.
 - Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting seminars at the
Bachelor and Master’s degree level.
