Description:

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Indiana University,
Bloomington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the
level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2024. We seek an
individual with expertise in Second Language Acquisition, with
emphasis on Psycholinguistics and/or Bilingualism. We are looking for
a colleague who is committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching
at the undergraduate and graduate levels (M.A. and Ph.D.) in different
areas of Hispanic Linguistics. The ideal candidate will complement
existing strengths within the department, will be eager to collaborate
with students and faculty, and display a strong record of (continued)
scholarly productivity. Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics (or equivalent)
is required at time of appointment, as is native/near-native
proficiency in English and Spanish; third language proficiency in
Portuguese, Catalan, or an indigenous language is a plus. Salary will
be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
