Subject: Call for Papers: New Frontiers in Corpus-based Studies in Persian: Challenges, Innovations and Applications

We are soliciting call for chapters for an edited volume tentatively
entitled “New Frontiers in Corpus-based Studies in Persian:
Challenges, Innovations and Applications” scheduled for publication by
Springer flagship publications in late 2024 or early 2025. In response
to a nascent call for further research in this uncharted area of
research, we envision that the current edited volume will come to
offer trailblazing studies and push the boundaries in corpus-based
studies in Persian language in an international scale.

The edited volume covers a wide range of research strands and themes;
running the gamut from Corpus-based Translation and Interpretation
Studies, Corpus-based General and Applied Linguistics in Persian,
Corpus-based Contrastive Studies in Persian, Corpus-based Lexicography
in Persian, Learner Corpora and Teaching Persian as a Second/ Foreign
Language, Corpus-based Diachronic Linguistics in Persian, Creating,
Compiling and Annotating Corpora in Persian, Corpus-based (Critical)
Discourse Studies in Persian, Corpus-based Semantics and Pragmatics in
Persian, Corpus-based Syntactic Studies in Persian, Corpus-based
Cognitive and Psycholinguistics in Persian, Corpus-based Literary and
Cultural Studies in Persian to Systematic Review Literature and
Scientometrics in Corpus-based Studies in Persian.

The submitted chapter must not be under review/vetting process of
other journals and will be drafted between 7500 to 9500 words
inclusive of references. Please be informed that once your full-length
and camera-ready paper has been reviewed by the solicitors, it will go
through a tough and blind review process by Springer’s independent and
anonymous reviewers. As a result, each chapter must be written in a
fluent, flawless and academic style in English with cutting-edge
topics and research fields, which flesh out the scope of corpus-based
studies in Persian language. Abstracts for each chapter can be
submitted in 250 – 500 words with a clear delineation of the research
topic, research questions and hypothesis, type of corpus study
(Corpus-based, Corpus-driven or Corpus-assissted), data gathering
regime and corpus size, corpus software, corpus type
(uni/bidirectional parallel corpora, comparable corpora, diachronic
and/or synchronic corpora, monolingual or bilingual corpora, general,
reference and monitor corpora, multimodal and do it yourself corpora),
3-5 keywords and plausible results and outcomes. Please be informed
that we pursue a zero tolerance plagiarism policy in line with the
guidelines set by Springer.
We are sure that the current work of scholarship will gain currency by
your outstanding contribution. In case you have any further queries,
please do not hesitate to contact us via
persiancorpusstudies at yahoo.com.

We are looking forward to receiving your abstract soon.

With Respect
