Description:

Position: The Department of Languages and Linguistics at Truman State
University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
of Spanish with a focus on Hispanic
Linguistics to begin August 2024. A Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics is
required; ABD will be considered with Ph.D. completion required by
August 2024.

Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities include providing
classroom instruction in lower and upper division Spanish curriculum,
including courses in Spanish Phonetics and History of the Language.
Scholarly activity consistent with Truman’s teacher-scholar model is
expected. Additional duties include academic advising, mentoring of
students in research and other experiences, and providing service to
the department and University.

Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
