Meeting Description:

We are happy to announce that the VALP6 Conference (Variation and
Language Processing 6) will be held in Vigo from 26-28 June 2024. In
the spirit of the five previous editions of VALP, the conference
provides a venue for researchers coming from traditionally distinct
fields, such as sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive
science, experimental phonetics, syntax and pragmatics, who work on
the relationship between linguistic variation, in its widest sense,
and language processing.

The following keynote speakers have confirmed their participation:
- Montserrat Comesaña (Universidade do Minho)
- Natalia Levshina (Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics)
- Hans-Jörg Schmid (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München)

2nd Call for Papers:

This is the 2nd call for the VALP6 Conference (Variation and Language
Processing 6), which will be held in Vigo, 26-28th June 2024.

In the spirit of the five previous editions of VALP, the conference

Submission of abstracts
We invite abstracts for full paper presentations (20 + 10 mins
discussion). Abstracts should be no longer than 450 words (excluding
references) and should clearly state research question(s), approach,
data, method, and results. Authors may submit a maximum of two
abstracts if at least one paper is co‐authored. Submission should be
anonymous and via EasyAbs:

The call for abstracts will open in mid-August 2023 and will close on
15th December 2023. Notification of acceptance will be sent out in
early March 2024.
