Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Memorial University is seeking
applications for a permanent, tenure track, Assistant Professor
position in the area of syntactic theory. The position will commence
on July 1, 2024, and is subject to final budgetary approval. The ideal
candidate will have a secondary specialization in language
documentation and/or a language specialization in an Indigenous
language. We are also interested in candidates with expertise in the
syntax/morphology or syntax/semantics interface or experimental
syntax.

At the time of appointment, candidates will have completed a PhD in
linguistics and have a demonstrated record of excellence in research
and teaching. ABD candidates will be considered with reasonable
assurance of completion before the commencement of the appointment on
July 1, 2024.
