Subject: Native speakers of various Korean dialects in their 20s wanted

Currently I'm looking for 1 male Daegu speaker (Kyungsang),
Chungcheong dialect speakers, Jeolla dialect speakers, and Kangwon
dialect speakers. It's been really difficult to find speakers of these
varieties. Please repost or distribute this advertisement in your
network with Korean speakers. Thank you!

***

For researching in various Korean dialects, I am looking for speakers
in their 20s who speak Korean dialects other than the Standard Seoul
Korean. The participants will be given texts to read and record their
speech reading them using their own digital recorder or mobile phone.
They will also complete a simple questionnaire about their language
use and dialects.

It will take around 4 hours in total and you can spread the time over
three weeks. Participants will be given a gift voucher.

The participants must be:
• People who are in their 20s
• People who have lived outside Korea less than 3 years in total
• People without any problems in speaking/hearing
• People without history of language impairment

If you have any questions or would like to participate, please email
the Project Director, Dr. Hae-Sung Jeon (HJeon1 at uclan.ac.uk) at the
University of Central Lancashire, UK. This project is funded by the
Academy of Korean Studies.
