FASAL 14 will be a three-day workshop dedicated to formal approaches
to South Asian linguistics. We welcome any research that provides
theoretical insights into the structure of human language through data
from South Asian languages. We particularly welcome submissions on
under-researched and endangered South Asian languages and encourage
submissions from researchers located in South Asia and diaspora
communities.
Relevant research areas include, but are not limited to, phonology,
syntax, semantics, morphology, computational linguistics,
psycholinguistics, and language acquisition, as well as
interdisciplinary research investigating interactions between these
areas of inquiry.

This year, we also encourage submissions related to FASAL14's special
theme of locality in South Asian languages. See the CfP for more
details.

Invited Speakers:
- R. Amritavalli (EFLU, India)
- Athulya Aravind (MIT)
- Dustin Chacón (University of Georgia)
- Prerna Nadathur (Ohio State University)
- Paroma Sanyal (IIT Delhi, India)

Other information:
We are committed to making FASAL14 a welcoming experience to people of
all genders, sexualities, races, nationalities, and backgrounds. To
ensure an inclusive FASAL, we expect attendees to abide by the Code of
Conduct provided by the Resources on Equity and Inclusion in
