Lexicography; Morphology; Text/Corpus Linguistics

Meeting Description:

This thematic workshop has a twofold purpose: (i) to focus on the
expression of
extreme quantity, i.e. very small and/or very large quantities. This
is a particularly rich field
of observation for studies in phraseology, as well as for examining
the links between
quantification and intensification, quantification and argumentation,
intensification and
expressivity; (ii) to encourage a contrastive and/or diachronic
approach, keeping in mind that
the expression of quantification, at the levels of the noun phrase and
the verb phrase,
functions in very different ways in different languages and at
different times.
